HOW TO RESPOND TO BULLYING

 

Steps to take if you witness bullying.

Step 1: Break up the situation - help out do not be a bystander

Step 2: Talk to the bully and let them know that it is not right

Step 3: Take the person being bullied to the nurse

Step 4: Let someone who has authority know what took place

Steps to take if you are being bullied.

Step 1: Tell them to stop bothering you

Step 2: Give them another warning

Step 3: Walk away and tell a teacher

Step 4: Create distance. It does not mean you are a coward - it means you respect your space and you don't allow the bully to invade your space

Step 5: Help the bully calm down. You can do things like ask them what is wrong, have them explain why they are angry
