Summer Program Back in Person

3Point returned to in-person summer programming this summer to the delight of our youth. We ran the program out of the Dewitt Center in Roxbury because both the Fessenden School and the Yawkey Boys and Girls Club of Roxbury were unable to host our program due to COVID-19 restrictions. Our leadership team and staff, with considerable energy and dedication, made the program modifications necessary to operate at a new location.

Forty enthusiastic and active youth participated in our six week summer academy. In a

fast-moving and high-energy environment, the academy mornings featured an academic Shark Tank program - where students learned about entrepreneurship, invented new products, created business and marketing plans, and ultimately tried to interest four sharks in investing in their companies.

In the afternoons, youth participated in social-emotional growth and computer design classes, as well as an active athletic program which included basketball, golf at Franklin Park, and rock climbing at our newest partner, The Phoenix in New Market Square.
